PROPOSED ITINERARY:

 

Day 1:  

Site inspection at Arrivals OR Tambo Airport at 09:30

Transport pickup 10:00 at OR Tambo Bus Terminus

Travel via N12 and N4 to Dullstroom (Emnothweni)

Lunch in Dullstroom eg Harrie’s Pancakes (own account)

Travel through Lydenburg (Mashishing), Ohrigstad, Echo Caves, JG Strijdom Tunnel to Blyde River

Accommodation: Swadini Forever Resort (sharing 3 per chalet in separate rooms), Limpopo Province

Dinner at Forever Resort (own account)

 

Day 2:

Breakfast at Swadini

Blydepoort Dam boat cruise inside Blyde River Canyon Reserve

Site visits at Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre and Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre

Lunch and tasting at Hoedspruit Brewing Company (own account)

Site visit at Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport

Site inspection of Swadini Forever Resort

Communal braai included at the resort

 

Day 3:

Breakfast at Swadini

Panoramic Route – visit Three Rondavels, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window with Berlin and Lisbon Falls and The Pinnacle Rock pointed out en route

Lunch and site visit at Graskop Gorge Lift Company (lunch to own account, opportunity for lift and  forest experience, zipline and Big Swing as optional extras)

Travel to Hazyview and site inspection of the accommodation

Accommodation: Aan de Vliet Holiday Resort (sharing 2 per chalet with separate rooms) Mpumalanga

Dinner included at the resort

 

Day 4: 

Breakfast at Aan de Vliet

Kruger National Park through Phabeni Gate

Game drive in our vehicle to Skukuza

Lunch at Skukuza (own account)

Site visit of SANparks accommodations and the 2 hotels at Skukuza

Exit Kruger through Paul Kruger Gate

Site visit of Elephant Whispers (opportunity for elephant interaction as optional extra)

Site visit of Hippo Hollow accommodation

Dinner around Perry Bridge to own account

 

Day 5:  

Breakfast at Aan de Vliet

Travel R40 through Hazyview, White River and Nelspruit (Mbombela)

Site visit of Chimp Eden, a Jane Goodall Institute

Site visit of Lowveld Botanical Garden

Travel N4 to Sudwala Caves

Lunch and site visit at Sudwala Caves (lunch to own account, opportunity for a cave’s tour as an  optional extra)

Travel N4 and N12 back to OR Tambo by 18:30

Site inspection at Departures OR Tambo Airport

Site visits: Include route to the site, parking, facilities and activities for tourists, facilities for clients with  special needs, entrance fees information, accommodation types

Dietary: All places visited will offer vegetarian options. Strictly halaal (with halaal certified kitchens) cannot be accommodated on this tour only halaal friendly options i.e. veg & chicken prepared separately.

Interactive Education: Besides information being given by the education tourist guide, each guide on tour will be given a place and a story to research prior to the tour, to share with fellow guides on tour. This information will also be emailed electronically to everyone in the group.
